Cleansing your crystals
Crystals accumulate negative or stagnant energy and it's important to cleanse and charge them regularly,especially stones that are used for healing.Doing so restores a crystal's natural frequency.
Our crystals come to you already cleansed either with Palo Santo or sage and charged on a Selenite plate for your convenience.
If you would like to further cleanse your crystals you can do so by using the following methods.
1.Smudging with Sage or Palo Santo
Burn Palo Santo wood or a sage smudge stick and hold your crystals in the smoke to cleanse its energy.
- Open a few windows and doors to help any smoke and negative energy leave easily.
- Light your sage stick or Palo Santo over a flameproof bowl. Grab the sage or Palo Santo as far from the end you are burning as possible. Hold it at a 45-degree angle, light it and let it burn for about 20 seconds and then lightly blow on the flame until it goes out. The sage or Palo Santo will then smoke gently like incense. Remember that it’s the smoke that does the work and so the stick does not have to remain lit.
- Use the smoke to gently bathe over your crystals for a minute or so.
2.Selenite
If you have a Selenite crystal in the form of a plate,bowl,tower or tumbled stone,you can place your crystals on or near the crystals for about 4 hours or overnight.The presence of the Selenite helps to clear,cleanse and recharge your crystals of negative energy.
3.Moonlight/Sunlight
Lay your crystals out in the sun from dawn until dusk,or leave them overnight under a full moon to recharge.Some crystals such as Amethyst may fade in the sun,so please do some research as to which crystals are suitable for this method.Moonlight however is suitable for nearly all types of crystals,just make sure it's not on a wet night.
Setting intentions
Now that your crystals are cleansed of negative and stagnant energy, hold your crystals in your hand, quieten your mind and visualise how they can help you. Ask the crystals to help you with whatever your intention is, for example:
- "Help me to heal my heart,mind and body"
- "Please give strength and confidence "
- "Allow me to be more intuitive"....etc

Charge your crystals under the sun or moon light to help keep their vibrational energy strong, pure and powerful.
Cleaning your crystals
Whilst many crystals can be cleansed in running water for several minutes,some stones such as Selenite are water soluble and will dissolve in water.Fragile or porous stones may be cleansed with a dry cloth.It is best to not use any harsh chemicals to clean your crystals as it can damage their surface and affect their energy.
